Full-Time Training - Testimonies

No Greater Love Than This, Ruth Hou

Having been raised in a Christian home, I was generally seeking the Lord but also was a little distracted by worldly pursuits while in high school and college. Therefore, I decided to give a few years of my life to God by coming to the Full-Time Training after I finished college. The first few days of my first term here I questioned whether I was meant to be here, but on the third day, I had a definite experience of the Lord that kept me in the Full-Time Training for the full two years.

In a particular class, we sang a hymn written by Witness Lee on how the Lord's deep love is the reason He not only died for me (this I knew already), but also the reason He came into me to regenerate me and bring me into a life-union with the Trinity (1 Corinthians 6:17). Connecting this hymn with John chapter three enlightened me to see that I had been serpentine in nature (John 3:14), but God so loved me that He sent His Son to die for me (v. 16) and make me the same as He is in life and nature so He could marry us as His Bride (v. 29). What love to turn a son of the devil into a son of God and even to enter into my sinful and fallen being!

Upon seeing such a revelation, I could not help but open my heart as wide as I could to the Lord and just to fully give my life and person to Him to do His will. He loves me! And I love Him more and more each day.
